Is the pattern one of an inability to feel what others feel — the harm clear, the remorse absent, the manipulation calculated, the bonds performed?

Clinicians use "psychopath" informally for the deeper, neurologically-rooted variant — conscience effectively absent, emotion mimicked rather than felt, behavior cold and planned. Different from sociopathy in origin and in pattern.
